Originally from Oklahoma with degrees from Oklahoma State University (BS) and Rice University (PhD), Alex is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences. He was a Fulbright Scholar at Durham University in the United Kingdom in 2017-2018.
Our lab is interested in documented the geologic history of coastlines. We are particularly interested in reconstructing records of Holocene and Late Pleistocene sea-level changes and how these changes impacted coastal evolution. We have active projects in California, Antarctica, Scotland, and Texas.
